One of the reasons I am on here is to hear Sharks news. Glad you are back. |

I wouldn't say the Sharks are still one of the best in the West. Without any significant moves I think this season is the final swan song for Thornton and will be a good showcase for what we truly have in our younger guys coming up. If we're in the playoffs I wouldn't be surprised if it's in a wild card position. I wouldn't mind missing and getting a good pick in next years draft (which is deep) but I also feel like the Sharks don't draft very well so that pick will likely go to waste either way.
I'm still excited for hockey to be back to and watch the Sharks, but my expectations are fairly low right now. Hard to predict how good they'll be at this point. |

Last year may have been a big step down from the Stanley Cup Finals but I felt from start to finish the Sharks were still noticeably better than say Calgary.
Calgary got a lil better, Sharks a little worse... but I still see the Sharks as playoff team over Calgary myself.
How big a blow was it losing Marleau? His goals will be missed but I thought he had already lost a step?

The Canadian media is giving out 2 Stanley cups this season, one to Toronto and one to Edmonton. The other 29 teams are just wasting their time. |
